Human Resources

Human Resources Functional Expertise and Capability Building

Development of HR infrastructure for small and mid-sized companies: Work directly with executives and senior management to clearly define the HR strategy for the company, placing emphasis on the need to improve the efficiency of HR services. With the growing trend of HR departments having fewer HR professionals, innovative approaches to redesigning HR delivery systems to meet organizational needs must be developed.

Organizational Design and Development

Serve as a strategic partner with company executives to ensure success in the marketplace by effectively developing, implementing and managing HR objectives, practices, procedures and policies that strengthen an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes fair and respectful treatment, quality, continuous improvement and high performance.

Partner with and coach senior management and operational departments to implement and monitor HR programs and write measurable outcome-based objectives to align their individual/departmental performance plans with the organization’s strategic objectives.

Management of Change

Serve in the role of business strategist and change agent for companies and initiate and implement change with commitment and drive. Develop people strategies that support the change agenda and develop initiatives to remove barriers to change by actively engaging others in the vision and purpose of the change and the change process. Advise and support leaders throughout the change process and ensures the HR action plan aligns with the HR initiatives of the overall business strategy. Assist in all aspects of M&A activities from the due diligence phase to the development and implementation of new processes and programs, while providing continual communications to employees.

Recruitment and Selection

Design and execute staffing plans to acquire, develop and retain high performing employees with the appropriate skills and competencies to respond to the needs of clients and their customers. Work closely with business development and contract teams to proactively plan for future staffing needs. By engaging in continuous communication with hiring managers throughout the entire recruitment process – from initial needs assessment to feedback on candidates interviewed – we can anticipate change, and analyze and predict workforce needs.

Employee Relations

Support leaders and managers in dealing with employee relations with an emphasis on maintaining employer-employee relationships that contribute to satisfactory productivity, motivation, and morale; and preventing and resolving problems involving individuals, which arise out of or affect work situations. Provide advice to supervisors on how to correct poor performance and employee misconduct. Progressive discipline and regulatory and other requirements must be considered in effecting disciplinary actions and in resolving employee grievances and appeals. Assists in providing information to employees to promote a better understanding of management's goals and policies and assist them in correcting poor performance, on or off duty misconduct, and/or to address personal issues that affect them in the workplace. Employees are advised about applicable regulations, legislation, and bargaining agreements and their grievance and appeal rights and discrimination and whistleblower protections.

Benefits Analysis and Procurement

Recognizing the challenge of offering comprehensive benefits packages at an affordable cost to both the company and the employee, we will evaluate benefits packages and suggest improvements or enhancements while containing overall costs. We will execute the implementation of new or enhanced benefit plans in a swift and painless way, focusing on communication with employees.

Policy Development and Compliance

Develop and implement policies and procedures and ensure statutory and regulatory compliance. Write, implement, monitor and manage EEO policies and Affirmative Action programs. Prepare and file EEO-1, VETS-100, and DCAA reports.

Relationship and Team Building

Our approach will help you to ‘lead by example’ in the development of organizational cultures that foster the building of collaborative relationships and partnerships. Assist in developing inter-departmental (HR, Accounting, IT, Security, Administration, etc.) integration through the use of communication and cooperation to increase efficiency and effectiveness of operations and customer service.

Quality Management

We maintain that organizations must strive to continuously improve their processes by incorporating the knowledge and experiences of workers. We have experience in implementing TQM and ISO systems and processes as methods by which management and employees can become involved in the continuous improvement of the production of goods and services. We will help you to disseminate a management philosophy that seeks to integrate all organizational functions (marketing, finance, design, engineering, and production, customer service, etc.) to focus on meeting customer needs and organizational objectives.
